I will be leading my Seeking Soul Through Nature and Poetry workshop at the Transformative Language Arts Network’s 2024 Power of Words conference!
Held September 26 – 29 at Unity Village in Kansas City, MO, this conference brings together writers, storytellers, musicians, performers, health professionals, educators, and other change-makers to investigate and celebrate the power of the written, spoken, and sung word. Transformative Writing Workshops
Intro to Transformative Writing Group
2 to 4 hour single session workshop focusing on nature, poetry, and journaling for self exploration. In-person or online.
Weekly Transformative Writing & Exploration
6-8 session, 2 hour exploration workshop using poetry, journaling, and sharing for personal exploration. May be focused on a particular topic. In-person or online.
JRR Tolkien - Weekly Transformative Writing & Exploration
Coming soon! 6 weekly 2 hour sessions narrative transformative workshop using the works of J.R.R. Tolkien (C.S. Lewis coming after that)!
ABOUT ME
About Bobbie
In the course of my journey through early childhood trauma, I discovered two strong allies to help me hold on and not give up: nature and story. My earliest memories are of camping in the mountains of Colorado, and the mountains have felt like home since then (even when I actually lived out on the high plains).
In the withdrawn isolation of my childhood and teen years, books were my community, my teachers, and my friends. They helped me make sense of a dark world. I still have my original copies of The Swiss Family Robinson, Jim Kjelgaard’s nature stories, and all of J.R.R. Tolkein’s works.
I returned (finally!) to Colorado to earn my Master of Arts degree in Counseling here at the edge of the Rockies.
I am in the midst of writing a memoir, telling the story of of my journey through depression and into healing, with many adventures along the way.
